Grit Guard Insert is a raised radial surface that fits in the bottom of any 3-5 gallon bucket and extracts grit from your wash mitt or sponge when the sponge is dragged across the Grit Guard. The dirt settles at the bottom of the bucket so wash water stays clean. The Grit Guards radial grid surface works by scraping dirt out of your mitt or sponge as four quadrants at the base of the Grit Guard calm the wash water and hold the grid at the bottom of the bucket. Dirt falls to the bottom and stays there. The Grit Guard is a real paint-saver and has a number of other uses, too. Use it to clean paint brushes by running the bristles across the grid in a bucket of water or paint thinner. Also use to clean automotive parts or drain your oil filter.

Grit Guard Washboard works in conjunction with the Grit Guard Insert. The Grit Guard Washboard works in conjunction with your Grit Guard Insert in a wash bucket to separate grit from your wash mitt. Grit Guard Washboard has no flat surfaces for dirt and grit to collect, like the Grit Guard Insert extracts contaminants from your cleaning tools. Rub the cleaning tool in a downward stoke against the Washboard to extract. All harmful contaminants settle at the bottom of the bucket. Particles such as dirt, grit and grime from your wash mitt are the root cause of scratches and swirls in your vehicles finish. Using the Grit Guard Washboard together with the Grit Guard Insert ensures a scratch-free finish when cleaning.

Our Plush Black Micro-Chenille Wash Mitt has 40% larger microfiber fingers than our standard micro-chenille wash mitts. The Plush Micro-Chenille Wash Mitt is 11 x 8 inches with longer microfiber strands to cover more area. You'll be able to work faster, and the long, plump microfibers will hold even more soapy water for superior lubrication. The microfiber fingers agitate the vehicle's surface to release dirt particles and gather them between the deep strands. Loosened dirt will gather in the mitt, rather than being rubbed against the paint. The superior durability of this mitt allows it to hold up to rigorous use. To prevent cross-contamination, we strongly recommend purchasing multiple Micro-Chenille Wash Mitts and reserving one for the paint and another for the wheels and tires.
